Here is the second of the little palm gadgets I mentioned last week. This one is a zester for citrus fruits-lemons, oranges, limes, grapefruit etc.
It's perfect if you need to control the amount of zest you want to use, as it has a little collection 'pod' that fits neatly underneath the blade.
It fits really comfortably on your fingers, so you feel like you have good control. The blades are lovely and sharp, so zesting is really easy.
A few sweeps across the washed fruit and you have a lovely little collection of zest- perfect for all sorts of recipes such as salad dressings, baking, flavouring creme-fraiche or desserts, etc.
Best of all, the whole thing can go on the top shelf of the dishwasher, so no fiddly washing up!
I bought this one in Sainsbury's for around £5, but they seem to be quite widely available.
